Aden: Social, Cultural, and Communal Histories of a Multicultural Port was a three-day conference coordinated jointly by E'eleh BeTamar, Unity Through Diversity Institute, and ASF Institute of Jewish Experience, hosted by The Woolf Institute at Cambridge University and the Aden community of London. E'eleh BeTamar Association was created to commemorate the first mass Aliyah to Israel (1881-1882) and preserve the heritage, culture, and history of Yemenite Jewry in the context of the Jewish narrative. There are 13 chapters across Israel. E'eleh BeTamar Association holds cultural evenings for the general public, funds research books and non-fiction books, and records personal and family stories of Yemenite Jews for over 20 years. E'eleh BeTamar is developing the documentation project for several years which contains hundreds of life stories as told by expatriates from Yemen. Bo'ee Teiman is the research group of E'eleh BeTamar encouraging young and early career scholars to study the Jews of Yemen.
